Role Overview

This is a permanent, fulltime Software Engineer role based in Bangalore. You'll be involved in the development, maintenance, and optimization of software solutions. It's ideal for someone with at least a year of experience who already understands core programming concepts and can work with minimal supervision. You won't just be writing code you'll also help guide other engineers and contribute to technical decisions.

Responsibilities

• Work with large-scale medical datasets (images, EMRs, waveforms, clinical reports) • Design and develop novel LLM and deep learning algorithms to automate clinical tasks • Run statistical analyses and error estimation to meet accuracy requirements on real patient populations • Build prototypes that can eventually become scalable, product-ready code • Propose new deep learning capabilities and innovative algorithms • Pursue patents and research publications where appropriate • Research emerging tech and industry trends to help guide product development

Qualifications & Skills

• Currently enrolled in a PhD or Master's program in Computer Science or a related field (or entering a PhD program in fall 2026) • Experience in at least one area: Natural Language Understanding, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, or Algorithmic Foundations of Optimization • Comfortable with one or more general purpose languages (Python, Java, C/C++) • Solid experience with Spark/Hadoop and either PyTorch or TensorFlow • Hands-on experience building data analytics and applications in a production-like environment

Must-haves

• Currently enrolled in a PhD or Master's program (or accepted into a PhD starting fall 2026) • Strong coding skills and experience with deep learning frameworks • Ability to work remotely within the United States • No visa sponsorship available for this role—must already have work authorization

Nice-to-have

• Experience handling noisy, real-world medical or patient data • Prior work with large-scale AI training (think big clusters and long runs) • Familiarity with medical imaging, clinical reports, or electronic medical records • A research mindset you're already thinking about your next publication
